Provision of Quantity Surveying Services

Tender description

The project will provide fit for purpose office accommodation for The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) which is currently based in a number of different buildings within Dublin City centre, which will now be centralised in part, to this new location. The fit out works include a combination of open plan office accommodation, and cellular offices for Senior Management staff, conference rooms, meeting rooms, a secure communications facility, confidential meeting rooms, quiet rooms, staff break out areas including tea-stations, additional sanitary facilities including a ‘Changing Places’ facility, and secure store rooms. The Design Team will be made up by an Architect, Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer and a Quantity Surveyor (this RFT) and will be led by the OPW appointed Project Manager who will act as Project Manager and Client liaison for all aspects of the project. The successful Quantity Surveying consultancy firm will ensure provision of a lead Quantity Surveyor who will act as the single point of contact for all scope of services under their control as required. A full Quantity Surveying Services consultancy, Life Cycle Costing and Value Engineering and Management, are required. The Quantity Surveying Consultancy Services include all quantity surveying and cost management services throughout the design, planning and implementation of all subsequent contracts for the provision of approximately 4,247m2 Fit Out across all floors. The Quantity Surveying Consultancy Services will be required for Preliminary Stage (i), Design Stage (ii), Tender Stage (iii), Construction Stage (iv) and Handover Stage (v).
