The City of Liverpool is host to the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 2022. The World Artistic Gymnastics Championships is the property of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) which is the governing body of Gymnastics worldwide. The Championships represent the pinnacle of elite gymnastics competition, attracting a substantial worldwide broadcast audience. For a successful World Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool 2022 (WG2022), it is essential to maximize commercial interest through the provision of integral event services and products via value in kind relationships and reach new audiences through industry partnerships. The first step to achieving these goals is to develop an extensive Commercial Strategy for the event, aligning with marketing and ticketing strategies as well as wider event objectives and timelines. The City Council and key stakeholders (UK Sport, British Gymnastics and the International Gymnastics Federations) are looking for tenders from individuals or companies who can clearly demonstrate meeting the following key selection criteria: • Demonstrable experience of working with international sporting partners/federations and global brands at the required level (preferably to a World or Olympic Games level); • A strong track record of delivering commercial strategy, developing sponsorship packages and rights and commercial income with national and international businesses in a similar senior sports events capacity; • Experience of developing other commercial opportunities such as merchandise, ticketing, hospitality packages with an understanding of the production and logistical requirements of major sports events; • A work plan that outlines; key work streams, delivery and milestones Keywords: commercial, festival, business
