Whitegates to Athlone Castle - Detailed GI

Tender description

The works are required to provide, geotechnica, structural and utilities information to allow the design and construction of a new cycleway and bridge in Athlone Town centre. The scope of the works envisaged under the ground investigation contract include: a) Vertical cable percussion boreholes and rotary core drilling, sampling and in situ testing; b) Trial pits, sampling and testing; c) Slit trenching for utilities; d) Laboratory testing of soil samples for engineering properties behavious, contamination and suitability; e) Preparation of detailed Main Factual Report as per BS5930 and the Specificatio, together with the production of Digital Data to AGS Version 3.1 (1999) Format. f) Liaison with Westmeath County Council and external bodies; g) Works including the use of traffic management in urban areas.
