Tender description

Dublin City Council (DCC) is seeking information from service providers for the provision and promotion of the Dublin Economic Monitor (DEM), a quarterly print and digital economic monitor for the Dublin region. The purpose of this Request for Information is to assist DCC to clarify its requirements and evaluating potential for the provision and promotion of a quarterly print and digital economic monitor for Dublin. The DEM tracks developments in the capital’s economy and promotes key aspects of economic development. It has constantly evolved since its establishment in 2014 with the identification and development of new indicators key to this. It is expected that it will continue to innovate. The current DEM is published in digital and print form on a quarterly basis. It is overseen by DCC on behalf of the 4 Dublin Local Authorities. DCC also commissions special editions of the DEM for specific events. It is intended that the DEM will continue to be published in print format and online on a quarterly basis. It will consist of 14 A4 pages of graphs, written commentary on the Dublin, National & Global economic outlook, City benchmarking, insight articles and an additional already determined A4 central pull out. The hard copy version will be printed & distributed in-house by DCC. The next iteration of the DEM will also focus on developing www.dublineconomy.ie to provide real time data accompanied by regular blogs, vlogs, podcasts or other insight pieces on a wide variety of topics relevant to the Dublin economy. This may involve revamping the existing website. In addition, the website requires regular updating. A communications strategy to promote the DEM with measureable targets is also required. Please note that this is not a competition and we are not seeking tenders at this stage. It is an information exercise seeking the views of market operators on possible approaches to be taken in a tender process. Please refer to attached documentation for further information
