MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT for Provision of an Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) contract (Leicestershire)

Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (ML CSU) on behalf of the Commissioner, West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), would like to invite providers to attend a 'Market Engagement Event' which will inform the market of the commissioners intentions to re-procure the APMS contract for the Thurmaston Health Centre in Thurmaston, Leicester. The aim of all the services is to deliver all essential, additional and enhanced services to registered patients at the practice. It is proposed that the terms and conditions of all the services, including tariff arrangements, will reflect those contained in APMS contracts. The main benefits and expected outcomes are:  To ensure patient access to GP services is amongst the best in the country for all patients  To seek innovative provision of primary care services, potentially utilising new technology, which aligns with national and local strategic plans  a GP Led service with appropriate clinical oversight of a multi skilled clinical team, throughout core hours to ensure safe robust process which supports practice staff and patients  Aligning services to the GP Forward View, the NHS Long Term Plan and Investment and Evolution - a five-year framework. The event will take place in Leicestershire from 12pm - 2.30pm on the 20th February 2020 and will take place at Soar Valley College, Gleneagles Avenue, Leicester, LE4 7GY - please come through to the college's Training Centre Car Park located immediately on the left as you drive in to the main entrance (the Mel Berry conference room). The Market Engagement Event will provide: • an overview of the service to be provided • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timelines • an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations.
