Summary of the work To provide expert technical advice across the Lambeth digital accelerator programme with a particular focus on software development and software integration. Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 10 days between January 2020 and March 2020 Latest start date Friday 24 January 2020 Maximum Day Rate £500 incl VAT Who Speclialist Work With You will be working most closely with the Digital Accelerator’s Programme Manager. What Specialists Work On 1. e-CPCS Build on existing work to co-design 'open' software solution that will enable electronic referral and bookings (where appropriate) of patients that present with minor illness via their GP practice online consultation system to community pharmacies. Write technical specification(s) to procure this solution Support technical review proposals received 2. Social Prescribing Build on existing work to co-design 'open' software solution that will enable seamless digital social prescribing pathway 3. GP practice websites Write technical specification to improve GP practice website(s) for Lambeth 4. Other Digital Accelerator Programme Projects Provide expert technical advice for other emerging projects Skills & Experience • Proven track record of delivering technology projects (2 examples) • Experience developing integration solutions in healthcare (2 examples) • Highly skilled with at least one programming language • Have >2 years experience as a technical expert/advisor role with NHS Digital or NHSX • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders in a technical and business capacity • Experience across the full product development life cycle (from requirements to user testing) Nice to Haves • Experience writing technical specification for procuring software solution for integration • Experience in designing software solutions built on NHSD open principles • Experience in modern Agile software development methodologies • Have > 10 years experience working in a commercial health software company Work Location Any face to face work will take place at NHS Lambeth CCG Office at 1 Lower Marsh, London, SE1 7NT Working Arrangments Anticipate 2hours /week face to face or teleconference each week as required by the project. This is the first time a technical expert with this level of experience will be appointed to the Programme. 2. Can you confirm the likely Statement of Work for this opportunity? It sounds like a mix of Interface Specification writing, e.g. Swagger APIs, some Business Analysis of the social pathway, performance analysis of the practice websites etc. Are there BAs on your team, or is this part of the role? Additionally you require the consultant to be an Agile Coach as well? Given the short time frame and low budget (£5000 over 10 days), is this SoW expected to be a high level overview, leading to more detailed future investigation and specification? Public Health England, Local Authorities, Mayors Office, Thrive, CQC, NICE, GDS etc​ It is considered to be advantageous for this individual to have experience working in NHSD/NHSX due the need for experience of large scale (NHS) health transformation and implementation programmes and this sort of work being predominantly delivered by NHSD/X 4. Finding a Technical Expert for the current day rate may not provide the expert level needed for what role is asking? How has this day rate been calculated? Based on budget available and other similar roles advertised online. 5. What is overall budget for the project? This role will work across multiple projects within the same programme and therefore the budget for this role is £500/day for ~ 10 days until the end of this financial year.
