Tender description

Cornwall Council has a specific duty to provide services for young people aged 11-25 year olds. This is currently delivered via 3 contracts, these are due to expire on 31.11.2020. Together for families commissioning are currently undertaking market engagement events to shape the future service. Cornwall Council has a specific duty to provide services for young people aged 11-25 year olds. This is currently delivered via 3 contracts: Emotional resilience: a range of community and school based interventions in informal and/or familiar settings for young people through face to face, online and peer/mentoring support. Information and advice: information and advice on a range of issues which impact on young people’s emotional health and wellbeing such as self-harm, housing issues, sexual health, issues relating to CSE, personal support, sexuality, relationship issues, dealing with bullying, dealing with discrimination, alcohol and drug issues, employment rights. Community development: the provision of community development workers across the county who provide support to community based organisations and groups to develop and improve activities and services for young people. This includes training for staff, support with session and activity planning, evaluation, safeguarding practice and measuring impact. It also includes participation workers who support young people to develop activities on issues that are important to them and coproduce projects and programmes with young people. This service also delivers the mechanism for youth engagement within Cornwall through the youth cabinet.
