Scope of Contracting Entity’s Requirement The Contracting Entity proposes to appoint a number of contractors to a framework agreement The general building and construction works at all its premises throughout the Greater Dublin Area on an as required basis. The types of works will include, but will not be limited to, the following: • Repairs or replacement of above-ground building fabric elements such as floors, walls, roofs, above-ground rainwater drainage, doors, glazing systems • New build offices and store rooms in block and stud • Associated civil foundation works as required • General Building Maintenance works • Working with, around or removal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) The framework is intended to run for 4 years with a 12-month extension if required. It is intended that the framework be used for contracts from €15k - €500k ex VAT. Mini-competitions would be run for each contract. Dublin Bus cannot guarantee any works as it is unknown at this stage but an approximate value would be approx. €250,000 per annum. The amount of work is subject to increase or decrease. ... The framework will have the option to extend after the four year term has expired by two separate twelve month periods This initial evaluation of expressions of interest will be carried out and those entities meeting the minimum pre-qualification requirements will be invited to participate in the tendering competition. Contractors will be selected for inclusion onto the General Building Works Framework based on the tender of a sample project. The winning return would be awarded the sample contract. The top 5 valid scores will qualify for inclusion onto the General Building Works Framework. If less than 5 contractors return a valid tender, then all valid returns will gain entry onto the Framework.
