Tender description
The Contracting Entity proposes to appoint a number of contractors to a framework agreement for the general civil works at all its premises throughout the Greater Dublin Area on an as-required basis. The types of works may include, but will not be limited to, the following: • General civil and ground works at Dublin Bus depots and other premises • Workshop vehicle inspection pit modifications • Repairs and replacement of below-ground drainage systems, including manholes, interceptors, drainage pipes etc • General trenching and surface opening • Installation of below-ground ducts for cable-pulling • Installation of standard sub-station foundation details to ESB specifications (should be included within your example projects below) • General concrete repairs (currently under separate contract but likely to be put through the framework upon current contract expiration) • Appointment and acting as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for these works Dublin Bus has recently been awarded a 5-year contract with the NTA (National Transport Authority) which includes the maintenance, replacement and new-installs of on-street bus poles in the Greater Dublin Area (including parts of Meath, Wicklow and Kildare). The following services may also be included within the specification: • Requirement to do on-street civil foundation works (to the NTA specification) associated with new bus pole installs. These would likely be relatively small batches of pole installs at any given time (e.g. 10 – 20 units) • Requirement to act as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for these works • Requirement to liaise with relevant Councils and obtain road-opening licenses, T2 permits etc The framework is intended to run for 4 years with a 12-month extension if required. It is intended that the framework be used for contracts from €15k - €500k ex VAT. Mini-competitions would be run for each contract.
