Contract For Waterford North Quays Project in the Ferrybank area of Waterford City.

Tender description

The Utility Diversion Contract For Waterford North Quays project involves the following: 1) Installation of Ducting for the diversion of ESB Medium Voltage cables 2) Installation of concrete bases for three new ESB transformers; 3) Installation of several concrete bases for mini-pillars and installation of same to enable diversion of existing low voltage cables; 4) Installation of Ducting for the diversion of existing low voltage ESB cables; 5) Excavation and subsequent reinstatement of open trenches for the diversion of Gas Networks Ireland infrastructure. General: The works comprise of the installation of ducting to a strict specification suitable for the installation of Medium and Low Voltage cables as well as the installation of concrete bases for new transformers and a number of mini-pillars. The works will require close cooperation with the ESB who will re-locate the electricity network in the area as the ducts become available and the works therefore require that open pits must be maintained until ESB cabling work has been completed. The works also involve excavating trenches to enable Gas Networks Ireland to relocate some of its pipe network. When the diversion has taken place, the trenches shall be re-instated as part of the contract. The project is located in the Ferrybank area of Waterford City.
