Tender description

Mandated sexual health services for Berkshire West (Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire LAs). Bracknell Forest Borough Council is administrating this procurement on behalf of 3 contracting authorities, these being, Reading Borough Council, West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council. There will be 3 separate contracts awarded. The sexual health and reproductive services will ensure that sexual health of the Berkshire West populations improve, reduce inequalities, improve sexual health outcomes, provide easily accessible information on sexual health and treatment where everyone is able to make informed and responsible choices about relationships and sex. The service will cover the levels of service identified in the specification which include: — treatment and care for sexual health (excluding HIV), — contraceptive services (additional to core primary care work), — sexual health promotion, — sexual health services mandated by legislation. But will exclude the National Chlamydia Screening programme and sexual health services delivered by school nurses.
