Tender description

Bedford Borough Council (the Authority) hosts a shared service for records management for the 3 unitary authorities in Bedfordshire-Bedford Borough Council (BBC), Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) and Luton Borough Council (LBC). This service is known by the name of Bedfordshire archives and records service. Bedfordshire archives and records service will act as the liaison between the Authority and the contractor for the purposes of this contract. Until 2002 Bedfordshire archives and records service stored all material in its own storage areas. Since 2002 the service has supplemented its own storage capacity with external storage provided by an established storage company. The contractor will be responsible for providing the external records storage facility. The contractor will be responsible for providing the external records storage facility for Bedfordshire archives and records service.
