Tender description

£200,000 (annually) The London School of Economics (LSE) has a number of Research Centres that deliver research-based policy advice in answer to growth policy questions faced by policy makers across the word. The International Growth Centre (one of the mentioned Research Centres) undertakes research and provides free and independent advice to policy makers. In many of the countries, International Growth Centre (IGC) engages a partner institution to provide it with office space and basic operational capacity, and has financial agreements in place to ensure that the IGC do not impose unremeniurated costs upon them. As such, the IGC are looking for a provider who can offer overseas operating support services in the following countries: Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique, Zambia, Kenya, Bangladesh, Myanmar, India and Pakistan. The service will need to support the registration of IGC/LSE overseas and support ongoing compliance requirements overseas, which relate to areas such as: Registration of In-Country Operations, Payroll Services, Tax and Regulatory Compliance Services, Employment Advisory Services, Local Recruitment Advisory Services, Cash Management Services, Procurement Support Services and Deregistation of Operations. There is currently an incumbent who fulfils these obligations, but we are potentially looking at re-tendering this service and therefore we are conducting a pre-market engagement exercise to identity suitable providers to invite to the opportunity.
