Tender description

Clarion Housing wishes to procure a national contractor who will ensure Un-adopted lighting is maintained, repaired fully and left in a safe working order to ensure the health and safety of its residents and users. This is a repairs only contract and the contractor will be required to attend to carry out various repairs as and when necessary in line with the Clarion repairs standards. A routine repair must be carried out within a maximum of 28 days. There may be on occasions, occurrences where the client requests a repair to be carried out sooner that the routine timescale. The client will look at the nature of the repair, take into account the severity, the H&S risks, and request that the repair is attended to sooner. The contractor will be required to assess the condition of the installation, identifying and rectifying the presence of any immediate danger to ensure as far as reasonably practical: — the safety of persons against electric shock and burns, — that the installation has not deteriorated or been damaged so far as to impair safety, — that any defects of the installation, giving rise to danger, are identified.
