Block booking contract for nightly paid emergency accommodation to assist the London Borough of Sutton in fulfilling its homelessness duty to provide interim and temporary accommodation under Section 188 and Section 193 of the Housing Act 1996 Part VII. Accommodation is made up of a mixture of shared rooms and self-contained units of accommodation. There is also a resident caretaker with an office, CCTV, a large garden and some parking. Block booking the accommodation will ensure the supply of good quality emergency provision of accommodation is available to Sutton homeless households and increasing the provision available in borough. The block booking agreement means the provider is able to offer a discount on the current rates that we are paying, creating a cost benefit to the Council.
