Royal Canal Premium Cycle Route Phase 4B - Ground Investigation Contract

Tender description

The detailed ground investigation works are required to provide geotechnical, structural and utilities and services information to allow the design and construction of the premium cycle route along the Royal Canal towpath between Ashtown and Phibsborough. The scope of the works envisaged under this Contract include: a) Vertical cable percussion boreholes and rotary core drilling, sampling and in-situ testing; b) Trial pits, sampling and testing; c) Slit trenching and Inspection pits for foundations and utilities; d) Rock coring, proving rock to a specified depth and in-situ testing; e) Undisturbed sampling; f) Laboratory testing of soil and rock samples for engineering properties; g) Chemical analysis and contaminant testing; h) Preparation of detailed Main Factual Report as per BS5930 and the Specification, together with the production of Digital Data to AGS Version 4.0 Format; i) Liasion with Dublin City Council and external bodies; j) Percolation and infiltration testing and k) Monitoring of groundwater levels in standpipes.
