Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery & installation of a vertical 3 axis milling machine to be used as a test bed for various future projects relating to industry needs. Each of these industries is looking to adopt ways of capturing data to allow more effective decision making in areas such as below: 1. Predictive maintenance – moving to condition monitoring – checking the machine health continuously 2. Remote operation – being able to identify potential errors remotely 3. Process optimisation – using gathered data to make small adjustments to processes to improve machine and fleet performance to reducing costs and improving quality control. 4. Connected Factory – IIoT – demonstrate how best to connect these machines and benefit from the reduced costs cloud can offer in both compute and networking capabilities needed for more cost efficient and customer responsive factories of the future. 5. AI – moving towards autonomous systems while keeping a ‘human in the loop’ allowing companies to prepare for what skills the worker of the future will be. 6. Improves Internal Collaboration – eg data to be used by Production scheduling
