The Trust will be carrying out a competitive dialogue process in the coming months relating to a contract for the provision of perfusion services within Royal Papworth Hospital. The Trust will be carrying out a competitive dialogue process in the coming months relating to a contract for the provision of clinical perfusion services within Royal Papworth Hospital. The current contract with Cambridge perfusion services is due to expire on the 28 April 2021 and is the desire of the Trust to have awarded a new contract prior to this date. In addition to the provision of perfusion services the Trust would be willing to discuss with interested parties the possible inclusion of perfusion consumable should this be the most logical solution. The services which this tender relates to fall within the category of social and other specific services under Regulation 74 of the Public Contracts Regulations and as such the Trust is only bound to follow the principles of transparency and equal treatment of economic operators. The Trust is intending to follow the principles and process of a competitive dialogue due to the restricted market for these services and the complexity of drafting requirements that do not exclude innovation. There will be minimum levels set for insurances and financial stability as part of the tender process that all bidders will have to satisfy due to the critical and complex nature of perfusion services. These will be expanded upon as part of the tendering pack once issued so at this stage it is to provide prior warning.
