Hannah More Primary School Kitchen Works

Background: Currently Easton CE Primary school are the transported meals hub for providing school meals to Bristol schools in the TwS school catering contract who do not cook their own school meals. These meals are in addition to the meals they provide to their own pupils. Easton CE Primary school is leaving the TwS contract in August 2020 and the kitchen at Hannah More Primary School has agreed to act as the new transported meals hub. Kitchen works (additional equipment to support the increased capacity) are required to enable this provision. When this became known, due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 situation and the need to identify and seek Head and Governor approval, it was not possible to visit the Hannah More school kitchen and gather sufficient information to be able to undertake a full competitive tender process. This contract is for a one off piece of work. Due to the value of spend, our route would be RFQ. We have a quote from Lionel Saunders who know the kitchen well and this will minimise the time needed on site. The contractor will provide all necessary PPE and work within social distancing guidelines. The work will take place after kitchen staff have left for the day. Work to be completed before the start of the Autumn term and by 31 August 2020
