Derby City Council is inviting community-based organisations to submit an Expression of Interest in taking a lease of the disused public toilet building on High Street, Chellaston Derby. Derby City Council would like to invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified and constituted organisations that may wish to take a lease of the disused public toilet in order to, a) re-open the toilet facility, b) convert the existing building for an alternative use, c) if the building is unsuitable for either (a) or (b), develop the site for an alternative community use. The soft market test is intended to allow interested individuals or organisations with appropriate experience to outline their proposals and provide information with no obligation on them or the Council to proceed beyond this stage. The Council invite responses which offer imaginative uses for the building: • Which meet the needs of the local community. • Offers added value to the area. • Which may improve the building or provide alternative suitable uses.
