Tender description

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) provide Estates and Facilities services to the parent organisation, York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to engage with the providers of Building Management Systems (BMS) prior to the formal re-tender of the system, maintenance and associated hardware. The expected contract duration will be 10 years. Our main sites are York Hospital and Scarborough Hospital plus many other community sites across North Yorkshire. Current systems: Schneider Continuum, Schneider Struxureware Building Operations, Schneider Struxureware Security Expert, ABB Cylon Controls and Priva Compri, Paxton Net 2 Access control. We have a range of HVAC and Access control spanning the range of the Trust, we also use the BMS systems for critical alarm monitoring, below is a breakdown of amount and location of edge equipment. Schneider now classify Continuum as a legacy product and cannot supply spares, due to this we are entering into the process of replacing continuum controllers with the new system to release spares to maintain the remaining continuum controlled areas. At the time of this PIN we are around 95 % on the continuum system. Struxureware – HVAC 9 network controllers (AS-P /AS-B) 1 Workstation 1 Server 1 Workstation Sites with system installed: York hospital, Scarborough Hospital, Malton Hospital. Security Expert – Access 8 Controllers 1 Workstation 1 server. Sites with system installed: York Hospital, Scarborough Hospital. ABB Cylon - HVAC 4 network Controllers, X Sub-controllers (X total) 1 Workstation (used as server) Sites with system installed: Selby hospital Paxton Net2 Access control – Access X Controllers 2 Workstation (1 per systems) Sites with system installed: Selby Hospital Priva Compri – HVAC 1 Controller Stand alone Sites with system installed: York Hospital Social Club Sites; Cherry Tree Estate, Heycliffe, Tribune House, Centurion House, Renal Unit(Easingwold), Clifton Chapel, Transport/ Medical Records (Clifton) and medical records (Rawcliffe) are controlled by various local controls typical of domestic properties. Schneider now classify continuum as a legacy product and cannot supply spares, due to this we are entering into the process of replacing continuum controllers with the new system to release spares to maintain the remaining Continuum controlled areas. At the time of this PIN we are around 95 % on the Continuum system. The selected contractor will have key involvement with the process of replacing end of life Continuum controls.
