Tender description

Warwickshire County Council have refreshed the multi provider framework for the provision of SEND Educational Day Placements. Coventry CC and Solihull MBC and other authorities from the West Midlands Region may use the framework. The framework will provide a wide selection of providers who will deliver the individual outcomes for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged between of 4-19 years. The framework is in Lots based on the age of the children/young people: — Lot 1: Children aged 4-11, — Lot 2: Children aged 11-16, — Lot 3: Young People 16 -19. Providers will work with the local authorities to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people according to their education health and care plan (EHCP) aged between 4-19 years whose needs cannot be met within local maintained settings and who require highly specialist provision in bespoke settings. After this tendering process has been completed and the contracts have been awarded the authority may run further competitions for the same service as required. This is to allow new providers to apply for a contract for Independent/non-maintained specialist providers of educational (day) services and to allow those who are unsuccessful first time around to re-apply. This process will include the same documentation as this tender (with the exception of dates etc). These competitions will be live for the period of 3 to 6 months. However, if the authority receives a high level interest for the service the authority reserves the right to close the competition at an earlier date. After this tendering process has been completed and the contracts have been awarded the Authority may run further competitions for the same service as required.
