Tender description

Supply to maintain the estate of HMPPS for bespoke and supplier specific custodial locks. Ministry of Justice has conducted engagement with the market to understand capacity and capability to provide bespoke custodial lock supplies (including keys, locks and associated products) for its existing estate. Suppliers were required to demonstrate: — capacity to supply the entire HMPPS Estate, our requirements and volumes, — ability to supply to the same standards, specification and maintain bespoke locking parts, — ensure cost of change could be mitigated, safeguarding the taxpayer and budgets, — meeting key operational criteria for the management of keys and locks. Following this exercise it was confirmed that competition is absent on technical grounds under Regulation 32 of PCR2015 therefore a contract will be awarded to the named Supplier following the standstill period, 27 July 2020.
