Tender description
The Contract is for the provision of the demolition College Hall, Stranmillis. The Works Comprises of the demolition of the College Hall Building and reinstatement of lawn at Stranmillis College Belfast. • The College Hall demolition / removal and associated works are located at Stranmillis University College, Belfast. • Consent to Demolish has been granted LA04/2019/1925/DCA by Belfast City (and HED) Planning Department. • All adjacent trees are TPO protected • Prior to demolition the existing services to College Hall are to be cut off / diverted. • The College Hall building has identified a large quantum of asbestos items / fabric / ducting etc which require removal as part of the demolition works. The appointed contractor will fully responsible for the management and removal of all found / identified asbestos and subsequent disposal. All in accordance with current Statutory requirements / guidance and best practice. • Contractor is to allow for the careful and controlled breakout of ground floor slab as buried duct work / pathways has been identified as containing asbestos. • All adjacent buildings and the whole Stranmillis Campus will remain live / operational during the works. • All cavities and changes in ground levels (eg boiler house) are to be safely fill in and made good. • Any redundant drainage etc to be secured and capped off. • Once the building is demolished and removed, the scheme is to be finished and made good as new lawn and further associated works (new railings / blacktop etc) as to ITT. • The contractor shall be responsible for liaising with all Statutory Authorities/ Utility Providers (if required) and programming the same to comply with the completion date. • All works will be in strict accordance with the current Health and Safety Regulations. Including and the Contractor being fully cognisant of COVID 19 H AND S working directives / best practice working requirements. • All Works are to be co-ordinated and agreed with the Employer, Project Supervisor and Principle Designer / CDM regulations. • The Works must be programmed in agreement with the Employer. Contract Period 120 days.
