Tender description
As part of Kent County Council’s ongoing programme of work to address the climate and ecological emergency, the authority is looking to develop a framework for natural solutions to climate change. This framework will consider both mitigation and adaptation and promote a multiple benefits approach – for instance, not just carbon sequestration and/or flood and water management but also look to benefit biodiversity and society (for instance through access and amenity and the associated health and wellbeing benefits this brings) to provide a more coordinated, integrated approach. Such an approach will not only deliver greater value for investment but also help ensure that any action taken is considered holistically to ensure it is the right action in the right place and doesn’t have perverse negative impacts. Keywords: Climate change, Consultancy
