HR Generalist (Agency worker) for 6 month contract

The Health Research Board (HRB) is a state agency that supports research and provides evidence to prevent illness, improve health and transform patient care. The HRB has 65 staff. Our annual budget is in excess of €45m and we manage a research investment portfolio of approximately €200m. The agency is funded mainly by the Department of Health, and Board members are appointed by the Minister for Health. The HRB is seeking the provision of a temporary HR Generalist Agency worker for a 6-month period. The post is office based but in the interim and until we have greater clarity, staff are expected that they may need to work remotely for a period of time. The procuring of a resource will be required to carry-out the following activities: This list is not exhaustive). • To support the HR function to meet increasing recruitment needs. This request is due to an extensive increase in the past few years in demands on current HR resources. This will be a labour intensive body of work that this resource will either be required to provide directly or as support to the HR Manager by carrying out other activities as directed by the HR Manager. Other activities will include: • Delivery of actions associated with the People Strategy for the Civil Service 2017 – 2020 • Establishing a nurturing and positive working environment in the HRB including several HR Initiatives such as:  In line with our commitment to EDI, progressing the updating, getting agreement and implementing the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy as well as establishing the EDI committee.  To establish a program for delivering a greater disability awareness and opportunities for employing people with a disability in the HRB.  To progress our Health and Wellbeing program including formally launching the Health and Wellness module in our our EAP program as well as establishing and launching the Positive Working program in addressing Stress management.  Other duties as per detailed Job spec
