Efficiency East Midlands Ltd (EEM) is a procurement consortium which establishes and manages a range of framework agreements. Our membership includes over 190 public sector organisations. EEM's existing framework for the supply of kitchen units (EMC0014) is due to expire, and are looking to procure a new framework to commence January 2021. EEM wishes to enter into a framework agreement with multiple suppliers, each of which will be able to supply and deliver a range of kitchen units, fixtures, fittings and adornments. This framework with be separated into three lots; we foresee these to be as follows: Lot 1: Standard Specification Kitchen, Lot 2: High Specification Kitchen, Lot 3: Adapted Kitchen. This is a prior information notice, to notify interested organisations of an up and coming tender opportunity. Typical types of supplies and services covered by this framework will include for: — surveys of properties to design kitchen layouts; — utilising designs provided by the contracting authority; — supply and deliver a full kitchen fabrication; — supply and deliver additional carcasses, worktops, fixture, fitting and adornments where required; — deliver options; include but are not limited to: • 24 hour delivery service, • into distributors, • into managed store, • plot by plot packages, • flat-pack or pre-assembled options; — any other additional or relatable services. Due to the wide spread locations of EEM contracting authorities, the framework may be national coverage only. The adapted kitchens must be designed with wheelchair users in mind and offers a choice of accessibility features and finishes; included but not limited to: — electric or manually operated rise and fall units; — deep recessed plinths to accommodate wheelchair footplates; — ergonomically calculated worktop heights; — hobs with front controls; — low level wall units; — option of integrated appliances; — a choice of doors, worktops and carcass colours; — a range of handles.
