Tender description

The proposed Phase 3 of the Cork North West Quarter Regeneration (CNWQR) scheme provides for the development of a new housing scheme in an existing suburban setting. The development of these new houses requires the demolition of existing housing units. The demolition is proposed to happen in 4no. demolition works contracts as outlined in the attached drawings. Some of these contracts will include minor demolitions (inter alia demolition of extensions, garden sheds, blocking up of openings etc. to prevent vandalism and antisocial behaviour) of vacant units, which will be demolished in subsequent full demolition contracts, included herein. Please see attached drawing outlining these demolitions and minor demolitions. It should be noted that Cork City Council may merge two or more of the demolition contracts into one, if feasible. It should also be noted that two or more of the demolition contracts could occur concurrently.
