Gateshead Council (the Council) intends to implement a framework with multiple suitably qualified and experienced suppliers. The aim of this framework is to procure and maintain computer hardware (under equipment warranty and other hardware maintenance arrangements, as appropriate). The aim of this framework is to procure and maintain computer hardware (under equipment warranty and other hardware maintenance arrangements, as appropriate) for the Council’s School ICT support (SIS) service and to customers of the SIS service. Customers include schools located both in the borough of Gateshead and out of borough, for both maintained and Academy Schools. This framework will cover: (a) outright purchase of desktops, laptops and server equipment with 3 year or 5 year warranty; (b) operating lease (or alternative financing option if available and commercially more viable) for desktops, laptops and server equipment for 3 years which will include a 3-year warranty.
