Summary of the work Business Analyst to assist a transition from SharePoint10 to SharePoint19. With expert knowledge, the BA will run the discovery phase, informing Users of technology enabled process improvements. Outputs. User Cases and Stories for all Users of SP19, a validated infrastructure System Requirements Document (to complement HLD) and business layer specification. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 3 month target for outputs with a 3 month unfunded option Latest start date Monday 3 August 2020 Maximum Day Rate Up to £550 a day (inclusive of T&S and all fees) Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work alongside the SPISN Requirement Manager, SPISN Project Manager and the System Operating Authority (SOA). What Specialists Work On Working alongside the Requirements Manager, the Specialist will be able to use their expert level technical understanding to educate Users on the increased functionality available in SharePoint19 and work on understanding the User and system requirements for infrastructure and Business layers for the SharePoint 2019 delivery. The Business Analyst will assemble the requirements into a coherent data set suitable for use on a Defence Competition. Skills & Experience • MOD SC clearance required on day one of the appointment due to the sensitivity of the role. • Experience of implementing SharePoint 2019 • Expert level user • Proven experience of Analyst roles preferably in Government Roles • Experience of modelling business processes. • Experience of developing user stories and business requirements • Experience of working/engaging with stakeholders at all levels. • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills Nice to Haves • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis • Experience in Agile Business Analysis • Data Analysis Work Location Hereford Working Arrangments 5 Days a week (Mon – Fri), normal working hours Security Clearance SC required on Day 1 of appointment Additional T&Cs In the event that the post is vacated the Supplier shall ensure that it is filled within one working week by a candidate who meets the criteria of this competition with prior approval of the Buyer. Is there a current incumbent No, this is a new role for a project. 2. What is the IR35 status? An IR35 assessment questionnaire has been completed, on this occasion IR35 does not apply, but that doesn't guarantee that it would apply in the future. 3. Does this role fall inside or out-side of IR35? Will this be remote based for the duration of the contract? The role requires working at User locations for the majority of the contract, this is because required IT connectivity is only available at User locations. Some remote working may be possible in the later phases. 5. Can you explain what this means?"3 month target for outputs with a 3 month unfunded option " The contract length is 3 months. There is an unfunded option of a 3 month extension if required. The Authority will notify the supplier if they plan to take up the 3 month extension. 6. is it based in the west midlands or Hereford when onsite? The site location is Hereford. 7. Would you be looking to sponsor the right specialist? The Authority will not be sponsoring any candidate for their SC clearance. SC must be in place on Day 1 of the contract
