Building Height Strategy for Limerick City

Tenders are being invited from suitably qualified and experienced multi – disciplinary teams to prepare a Building Height Strategy for Limerick City. Limerick City and County Council will commence the review of the Limerick City Development Plan 2010 – 2016 (as extended) and the Limerick County Development Plan 2010 – 2016 (as extended) in August 2020 and will produce the first development plan for Limerick City and County. The purpose of the proposed Building Height Strategy is to set out an approach to building height in Limerick City, that can support the preservation and enhancement of Limerick’s character and inform the policies of the Limerick Development Plan 2022 – 2028, while also informing the development process by providing clarity on the appropriate scale and massing of buildings in the City.
