Iarnród Éireann (IE) invites suitably qualified companies to participate in a pre-qualification process for the procurement of fuel cards. Iarnród Éireann (IE) is seeking to enter into a long term agreement with a specialist company with a demonstrable track record in this area. The contract the subject of this competition is a contract for 36 months with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years i.e. potential for 5 years in total at IE’s discretion, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. Iarnród Éireann (IE) is seeking to enter into a long term agreement with a specialist company with a demonstrable track record in this area. The contract the subject of this competition is a contract for 36 months with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years i.e. potential for 5 years in total at IE’s discretion, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. This contract involves the following services be made to Iarnród Éireann (IE). The contractor is required to provide a fuel card service ‘Service’ to Iarnród Éireann which permits the purchase of products and services on the forecourt of service stations through Ireland (Republic only). The service include the management of the transaction by the contractor, the invoicing of the services received in a timely fashion and the provision of reports. The contractor is responsible to ensure that a network of available service stations is maintained thorough the term of this contract ‘Coverage’. The fuel products which can be purchased via this contract must comply with the following specifications: — unleaded petrol with up to 10 % ethanol, for use in spark ignition automotive and stationary plant internal combustion engines conforming to IS EN 228: 2008 (as amended or subsequently amended during the course of this contract), — automotive ultra low sulphur diesel fuel with up to 7 % FAME, for use in Road Vehicles Class A1, conforming to IS EN 590: 2009 (as amended or subsequently amended during the course of this contract), — lubricants conforming to: • synthetic blend lubricants — SAE 5W-20, SAE 5W-30, SAE-10W-30, • fully synthetic lubricants — SAE 5W-30, • premium motor oil — 10W-40, • diesel motor oil — 15W-40, 10W-20. — washing: • car wash — standard wash programme; • van wash — standard wash programme.
