Tender description

Requirements for Battery Charger systems that will replace aging BC units on a total of 27 AGI sites for AGISI PC4 Ph4 Asset Group 1&2 and a further 9 sites as part of a separate project "AGISI PC4 P4 Asset Group 3" within the GNI network. The Battery Charger system is required to provide AC and DC power, with backup, to run telemetry, control systems, instrumentation and general automation systems. Typically, DC systems operate at 24V DC from a single phase 230V AC supply with DC loads ranging from 1A to 30A. A system of a standard type design is required to suit all site characteristics. The system will consist of components of similar type to the current asset base; Eaton APR24-3G Rectifiers, Eaton SC200 System Controllers, Antares Inverter, Hoppecke SB60 Batteries and the “technical solution” requirements listed in appendix 3 as part of section 5.1.2. of the RFT. This specification is to be used with the list of site-specific units appended in 162K-SRL-001. (A specification “162K-BCSR-001 Battery Charger Requirements Rev 5.1_Final” and RFT “20-066 - AGISI Battery Charger Request RFT” will be added to the request) The brief requirements are outlined below: 24V 120Ah DC Charger & Battery System Item Rating Remarks Rectifiers 0A Dual/redundant, rack mountable with ‘hot swap’ capability. Inverter 1500W 24V DC to 230V AC Output System Controller Supplier to advise a suitable model Batteries 12V 60Ah Battery configuration shall be 4x 12V 60Ah Dry Cell Batteries giving a total autonomy of 120 Ampere hours. Enclosure N/A Single type enclosure to house complete system including Batteries. Enclosure shall be sized to provide adequate natural ventilation.
