Tender description

Action 1 Specification for the undertaking of a comprehensive study to identify and assess national policies, incentives and producer responsibility schemes relating to the use, disposal and recycling of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS), primarily in Contracting Parties to the Oslo-Paris (OSPAR) Convention and in other EU Member States (MS), but also looking at best practice examples on a world-wide basis; and the production of a separate short paper demonstrating how the OceanWise Project is aligned with the “European Green Deal”. Action 2 Specification for the undertaking of a life cycle analysis of EPS/XPS products used for packaging food or food related products during their production, distribution, use, reuse, recycling, treatment and disposal, including the consideration of food safety issues throughout this life cycle. This Action will focus primarily on Contracting Parties to OSPAR, in other EU MS and on a world-wide basis.
