Why the Work is Being Done The GPhC wishes to appoint a supplier to provide the organisation with a clean, modern website that: - Improves our audiences’ experience, by optimising the processes that help us meet our regulatory functions - Delivers on the project aspirations and requirements set out in this document The new website needs to go live no later than the end of October 2021 and our aim is that it will confidently serve the organisation and its audiences for a minimum of five years. Problem to Be Solved Our main website pharmacyregulation.org is built on the Drupal 7 content management platform. Drupal 7 is reaching its end of life support in November 2021. "End of Life” means that it is no longer supported by core maintainers with fixes, security releases, or enhancements. This means our website and any data held or submitted via the website would no longer be secure against cyberattacks and other malicious activity and we may also experience issues with functionality that would not be fixed. Who Are the Users Our main website, pharmacyregulation.org is our principal means of communicating with our external audiences, including: Patients, carers, users of pharmacy services and members of the public Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Pharmacy owners Pharmacy students Educators and education bodies Employers Pharmacy professional bodies and trade associations Other healthcare professionals Wider healthcare bodies and organisations UK health and social care regulators Governments, the NHS, commissioners and providers Pharmacy trade press and national press Job applicants Early Market Engagement Work Already Done In order to identify High Level Requirements for a new website, we took into consideration the results and explorations from surveys and internal stakeholder sessions and used this along with independent examinations of the GPhC’s needs, to create requirements of features for this high-level requirements catalogue. Working Arrangments This is yet to be determined however a mixture of working arrangements will apply to this contract.
