Tender description

An intrusive ground investigation along each of six potential routes is required to inform the detailed design of infrastructure, cuttings and embankments on the N25 Waterford to Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny. Typical infrastructure works along potential routes includes: The proposed works include the following: 1.New corridor link road (approx. 10 kilometres in length). 2.Surface water drainage system for new road. 3.Construction of cuttings and embankments. 4.Traffic management measures for the N25. 5.New bridge to cross over abandoned New Ross-Waterford Railway line. 6. New bridge or culvert structures to cross several watercourses. 7. Potential upgrade/ realignment on parts of the existing N25. The ground investigation will comprise of boreholes, trial pits and dynamic cone penetrometers (DCP).
