Tender description

PIN — to implement a competitive framework agreement for approved organisations to purchase cylinders containing a variety of medical gases. The facility exists to run mini-competitions for bulk gases for approved organisations including the provision and installation of the vacuum insulated evaporator and back-up facility, rental, depreciation and maintenance of the VIE and backup; in addition to the supply of liquid oxygen. NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) are consulting on a proposal to tender for the provision of medical gases in cylinders and bulk gases to support NHS Organisations and the wider public sector to replace the existing framework agreement which will expire in March 2021. To help define and develop our national procurement strategy and help in the development of our service specification to meet the needs of NHS Organisations and wider Public Sectors, NHS Shared Business Services are engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documents in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
