LEE931C - DAFM - Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of a Nucleic Acid Purification Robot

Tender description

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) wishes to procure the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of a compact, bench mountable nucleic acid purification robot capable of extracting high quality DNA and RNA from a variety of plant, fungal, bacterial and feed samples, utilising magnetic bead technology. The equipment will be used for extraction of nucleic acids from a wide range of sample types from plants, bacteria, food, mammalian tissue/cells and should be compatible with fresh, frozen, freeze dried and crude lysis preparations. The nucleic acid output should be of sufficient quality and quantity that is readily detectable by a variety of molecular diagnostic techniques utilised in the Plant Health Laboratory, examples of these include Real Time PCR, conventional PCR, LAMP PCR and sequencing depending on diagnoses being performed. The instrument is to be supplied with the relevant software license, warranty, ongoing technical support and on-site training for staff.
