Tender description
Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council have put in place agreements to secure residential and nursing block beds for a temporary period to alleviate pressure in the care home market directly related to Covid-19. Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council have put in place these agreements in line with the Cabinet Office guidance PPN 01/20 — Responding to Covid-19, utilising Regulation 32(2)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (direct award due to extreme urgency). The Councils needed to respond to the Covid-19 consequences urgently in order to secure care home beds and it was impossible to comply with the usual procedures as set out in the Public Contracts Regulations.
