Tender description

This procurement is seeking a qualified firm to provide assistance to East Africa Marine Transport Co. Ltd. in the selection of a suitable shipbuilder and supervision of the subsequent construction actives for a new build ferry on Lake Victoria. East Africa Marine Transport Co. Ltd. (‘EAMT’) is looking to retain the services of a qualified and experienced engineering firm to provide technical advisory services as owner’s engineer for the project during the turnkey shipbuilder procurement phase and the ferry construction phase of one roll-on/roll-off (‘RoRo’) freight ferry with the option of a second vessel exercisable by EAMT. The scope will cover: (i) the selection of the turnkey shipbuilder from initial solution to notice to proceed under the Shipbuilding Contract (NTP) and throughout the construction period to completion and takeover, and during the defects liability period (‘Phase 1’); and (ii) if requested, throughout the construction to completion and takeover of the second Vessel (‘Phase 2’).
