Summary of the work Maintain all the existing Oracle Applications databases, and the associated hardware and storage to the latest versions to ensure we have a high performing on-premise capability. Maintain our current cloud functionality that we have progressed. Problem to Be Solved The current systems need to be maintained, patched and enhanced to improve user experience, maintain supportability and security, while ensuring high performance and ease of maintenance. Who Are the Users As a staff member of UKSBS I need to simplify and modernise my ways of working and ensure my systems are scalable, high performing and secure system so that I can leverage advantages of automation, current cloud infrastructure and updated software Early Market Engagement N/A Work Already Done N/A Existing Team 4 individuals currently complete this work and will be replaced by the contracted service, predominately working with UKSBS permanent staff, but will be required, from time to time, to work with FTC and other temporary staff. There will also be the requirement to assist with engagement of solution suppliers, such as Oracle Current Phase Not applicable Skills & Experience • Demonstrate deep understanding and experience with Oracle Linux 5, 6, 7 supporting Oracle DB and apps, particularly for both bare metal and VMs on OVM, kernel parameters, OS/kernel updates. • Demonstrate experience of effectively monitoring and diagnosing performance and other problems on Oracle Linux and NFS servers, including related network infrastructure such as Cisco and 802.3AD/802.1Q (LACP and VLAN). • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with NFS server/client/dNFS, ZFS, and its volume performance settings, and NetApp Clustermode in an Oracle environment. • Demonstrate good experience with planning and executing data migrations across different (relevant) vendor technology • Demonstrate good experience of scripting & automation using BASH, awk, sed, Python, Jython, JSON, WLST, Java and Ant scripts • Demonstrate your experience of analytics and reporting using OBIEE, OBIA, OAC, and Microsoft Power BI with functional knowledge of CRM, HR, Finance, Procurement, Service, and projects reporting • Demonstrate your experience of building Oracle BI Performance testing & test automation - using .NET & Scripting • Demonstrate your experience in upgrading OBIEE from 11g version to 12c, and OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud • Demonstrate your experience of building and extending data load processes using the ELT tools and technologies of OBIA 7.9.6 - Oracle DAC 11g, and Informatica 9/10 • Demonstrate your experience of managing, designing and implementing SSO, Oracle IDM, data security, and access and release management for different clients in a single instance and end-to-end cloud security. • Demonstrate your experience of working with Oracle SOA suite 12c (12.2.1.3 or 12.2.1.4) with Design and Development capabilities of BPEL (DB Adapters, File Adapters, Enqueue, Dequeue, etc) and BPM. • Demonstrate your experience with migration of the solution from Oracle SOA (10g/11g) to Oracle SOA Suite 12c (12.2.1.3/.4) or Oracle SOA Cloud 12c (PAAS). • Demonstrate your experience with development of Web Services (SOAP and REST) using Java 1.8, SOAP and JSON libraries and experience using Oracle Cloud API’s. • Demonstrate experience in XSLT and develop XSL transformations using the XML Schemas and custom XSLT functions. • Demonstrate your experience with designing and developing Application Roles, BPM Swim lanes and BPM Task workflows • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with Oracle/Non-Oracle integration (EBS, OBI, OWC, Siebel) with OAM & OKTA, across domain enterprise IDM solutions using SAML, OAUTH & OpenId • Demonstrate your experience with Fusion middleware application upgrades (OBI,OWC,FMW,OAM), DB (11g to 19c) upgrades and EBS upgrades (12.1.x to 12.2) • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with Oracle Cloud (Gen1 & Gen2) [PAAS, SAAS, IAAS] & implementing ADFS with OAM & Okta. • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with implementing Microservice approach (API Manager, API Gateway, ORDS) • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with OWC (UCM, IPM, IBR, ODDC, and OFR) and with document migration (11g to 12c). Nice to Haves • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with applications and database performance tuning. • Demonstrate your experience of working with shared service instances of large multiple Oracle ERP, OBIA, EBS, OLTP, and Siebel CRM implementation, including understanding of Data model. • Demonstrate your experience of working with Grants management system including approval, monitoring, payment, sanction and reconciliation processes using real time integration with payment processing system. • Demonstrate your experience with replacing current ETL mapping from EBS to bespoke Cloud solution, fetching Grants (project/finance) module data and mapping new data model with existing OBIEE repository/reports. • Demonstrate your deep understanding and experience with upgrading oracle databases (11g to 19c and 12c to 19c). • Demonstrate your experience in working with evaluation of the state of Storage, DB & Apps backup and methods to rectify any data corruptions. • Demonstrate experience of DR planning/implementation and testing, including knowledge of mirroring technologies and / or Dataguard and other technologies • Demonstrate experience with Dell hardware / iDRAC / racking & stacking • Demonstrate experience with XFS Filesystem / LVM / grub2 / backup & restore (particularly when cloning physical servers) • Demonstrate networking experience and troubleshooting skills, including DNS/NTP/ email (smtp/exim) / snmp • Demonstrate experience in scripting with Shell / Python / Perl/ WLST • Demonstrate experience in AWS or other cloud technologies • Demonstrate experience with ansible / git and other “devops” utilities • Demonstrate your experience in technical and functional upgrade of OBIA 7.9.x versions • Demonstrate your experience in integrating cloud data applications with on-premise applications. • Demonstrate your experience in migrating Informatica and DAC to Oracle cloud infrastructure and connecting on on-premise applications. • Demonstrate your experience and knowledge of working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Postgres databases. • Demonstrate your experience and knowledge of working with Amazon AWS. • Knowledge of Build and Release, Documentation and Unit Testing. • Knowledge of Networks, load balancers, Storage and oracle applications. Work Location Polaris House, Swindon, SN2 1FF Working Arrangments The team will be required to be onsite 4 to 5 days a week for face-to-face team meetings, with remote working agreed by exception with the team manager. This is due the collaborative nature of the work and requirement to engaged with many internal teams on a daily basis. Office hours are between 07:00 and 19:00, with an 8-hour day to be completed within that time.
