Design of repair and remedial works to existing structures including Investigation of structural defects and/or structural issues Preparation of structural reports with solutions and approximate costings of the building repairs arising from • Subsidence x 2 • Differential settlement x 3 • Pyrite heave x 1 • Fire and storm Damage x 2 • Flood damage x 1 • Accident damage x 2 • Drainage issues x 1 We might require up to 12 No detailed structural reports of individual properties Each may involve • detailed scope of works and specifications for repairs • advice on the most appropriate cost-effective structural engineering solution • site inspections/monitoring to ensure the works are completed in line with specification by the contractor • Health & Safety Planning and relevant Health & Safety Documentation There will be a quality assessment as part of the tender process with marks awarded for Engineers with experience in the design and supervision of conservation works and the restoration of historic structures. Evidence of previous experience of projects involving repairs and alterations of historic structures will need to be provided. Design of structural alterations • detailed drawings and plans, scope of works and specifications for new internal layout for Compartmentation, Protected routes and other fire precautionary works, including emergency escape stairs, new openings in loadbearing walls, etc. We might require up to 5 No detailed design schemes for individual properties Design of structural strengthening works • detailed drawings and plans, scope of works and specifications where change of use requires strengthening of floors, balconies, etc. We might require up to 2 No detailed design schemes for individual properties
