Tender description
The EPA is seeking the support of an external resource to carry out nationwide enforcement of tyre producer obligations under the Tyres Regulations (SI No. 400 of 2017). Enforcement activities will include office-based work (generating and issuing correspondence, communication etc.) and inspections at tyre producer business premises (to investigate, advise and direct on obligations). The contractor will follow up and investigate intelligence about ‘free rider’ tyre producers. The contractor will also carry out enforcement of the Batteries Regulations (SI No. 283 of 2014) as they relate to vehicle batteries.
