Tender description

In CP6 year one the programme manager for timetable performance undertook a bespoke Proof of Concept (POC) activity to assist Capacity Planning Analysts and Planners who wanted to understand how punctuality trains were against the Working Timetable (WTT) in order to assist with performance based considerations for service alterations. The POC was created using Tableau, a business intelligence application that allows visualisation of data. Users could access the POC via the internet using a web browser. The POC of Performance Hub currently uses Tableau and requires user interaction to run updates to the data. It is now proposed that a ‘productionised’ and supported version of the Proof of Concept Performance Hub is developed. Please see full scope document - https://networkrail.bravosolution.co.uk/esop/guest/go/opportunity/detail?opportunityId=49303 Pre-market engagement: productionising performance Hub. Network Rail is issuing a Periodic Indicative Notice (PIN) to gather an understanding of a productionised Performance Hub for automating performance assessments which allows for more reliable analysis, and helps identify issues and risks before timetable changes are implemented. The productionised Hub must: • automatically contain and refresh data for every timetable type and every day across the three tools, for Train Describer (TD) and Performance Systems Strategy (PSS — Network Rail performance reporting system which acts as a data warehouse for performance data) data on a weekly basis; • automatically refresh the three tools on a weekly basis with the new data; • be hosted on a platform so that a network rail user can login using single sign-on process and external user can be given access based on needs E.G. Performance Analyst Rail Operator. Please see the Productionised Performance Hub PIN Scope and additional documentation - https://networkrail.bravosolution.co.uk/esop/guest/go/opportunity/detail?opportunityId=49303 Interested Suppliers should complete the 'Supplier response questionnaire' and return to james.barclay@networkrail.co.uk by 10 July 2020.
