Tender description

The University Dental Hospital of Manchester, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, is one of the major teaching hospitals in the UK, undertaking the training of postgraduate and undergraduate dental students, student dental nurses and hygienist therapists. In all, a dental team of around 300 staff work in the Hospital. Dental implant treatment has been carried out at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester since the early 1980s. Since then the service has continued to grow and today there is a large team of multi-disciplinary experts on hand to provide this service. The authority is seeking to appoint a supplier to provide a dental implant system which will include dental implants, healing abutments, cover screws, associated products and associated surgical and restorative instrument kits. The duration of this contract arrangement is 3 years plus the option to extend for a further 2 years (1 year plus 1 year) to a maximum total contract duration of 5 years.
