Tender description
Consultant connect is a telephone helpline that primary care can call for medical advice about patients who previously may have been sent straight to ED or referred for an outpatient appointment. The majority of calls are taken by a consultant or if not then by a registrar or nurse practitioner. A direct award under Reg 32.C. This service provides additional support to primary care for the many elective care issues that GPs have to deal with which has increased significantly during Covid-19.
