Provision of a Programme of Supports to Male Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the Atlas House Direct Provision Centre

Tender description

The objective of this request is to identify and retain a suitable organisation to deliver a programme of intensive supports to Male Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the Atlas House Direct Provision centre. Design and Delivery of a programme of supports to the male asylum seekers and refugees in Atlas House Direct Provision centre in Tralee. The programme supports should include: • Linking the residents to department of social protection • Registering the resident with a GP and applying for a medical card. • Immediate support to the resident and linking the resident to existing residents who speak the same language or previous residents. • Advocating for residents to help them get their entitlements and rights • Support to vulnerable/ disabled residents • Linking residents to free English classes • Helping residents filling forms and linking to NGOs and government bodies. • Advocating for the residents in a case by case basis helping to get the maximum benefit for them • Gatherings and local community events • Access to cooking facilities • Outings • Participating in local community events • Befriending local individuals • Teaching the resident how to look for jobs and where to go to get help getting jobs. Then helping them fill application forms for jobs or training that would lead to better chances of employment
