Tender description

The site of the proposed works is the Sligo College of Further Education located in Sligo on Clarion Road, Eircode - F91 DY66. The site is in the functional area of Sligo County Council. The project shall include: Fabrication and delivery of a single stand alone building with multiple rooms as per drawing L(99)01 fully finished, serviced and functioning rooms, including any required craning equipment, establishment of a safe builder's compound, site works and services, installation and commissioning of temporary rooms, rental period and removal of the building at the end of the rental period. Handing over of O&M /Safety File Manuals to the Architect. All works to be completed to first quality trade standards leaving a clean and fully finished and furnished building. The Contractor shall note that the completion of the installation of the temporary building must be completed prior to the return of students for the new school year in late August. The Contractor must take account of this fact and the likely restrictions that will result in terms of sequencing works and programming. The costs associated with such restrictions shall be deemed to be included in the Contract Sum. The Contractor should note the extent and layout of the works from the Architect's drawings.The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to safeguard existing property, features, etc., and protect all persons from injury, etc. Access and exit to and from the site shall be via the existing entry/exit system only as shown on the site plan. The Contractor must take all necessary precautions to avoid nuisance caused by construction traffic, etc. The entrance and public road shall be kept clear of construction traffic and other obstructions at all times. The Contractor shall in particular restrict construction traffic movement during the main drop of and pick up School times. All works are subject to approval of funding from Department of Education.
