NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement — East of England (referred to as the Commissioner) would like to engage with the market to identify interest in delivering the contract for Specialist Led Orthodontic Service in the Colchester Area, Essex. Following the receipt of notification of contract termination for the provision of Specialist Led Orthodontic Service in the Colchester area of Essex, NHS England and NHS Improvement — East of England seeks expressions of interest from Specialist Orthodontic providers who would be willing to: Continue the treatment of circa 1 300 in treatment patients until completion in the Colchester area of Essex. Continue the provision of retentive care for circa 400 patients. Have capacity to access and bring into treatment new patients as outlined below: In the year 2020/2021 (7 months from 1 September 2020 to 31 March 2021) to start 4 000 UOAs (equivalent to approximately 180 new patients). In the year 2021/2022 (1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022) to start 8 000 UOAs (approximately 360 new patients). The rates per patient will be within the nationally agreed range. The period of provision is: 1 September 2020-31 March 2022, 19 months. The closedown terms for the period of provision are as follows • Payment of GBP 662 to complete treatments for each patient who commenced treatment prior to contract end date and still in active treatment with a fixed appliance. Monies paid over 2 financial years — 70 % in year 1; 30 % in year 2. • Payment of GBP 126 for each patient still in active treatment with a removable appliance. Monies paid in year 1. • Retention payment for patients who have not yet completed their 12-month retention period prior to the contract end date — GBP 25. Monies paid in year 1.
