Tender description
Dublin City Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council intend to establish a Multi-Party Framework Agreement for Roadwork Contracts greater than €1 million (excl. VAT) and less than €5 million (excl. VAT). The term of the Framework will be for 36 months with an option to extend for further 12 month period. The works will take place in both the DCC & DLRCC administrative areas and will be completed in the public realm in city and sub-urban environments including work on local, regional and national roads. The frequency, scale and type of project vary from year to year depending on funding availability (internally and externally) and the needs of the Authorities. It is envisaged that the minimum spend over the life of the Multi- Party Framework Agreement will be €10m (excl. VAT) and the maximum spend will be €60m (excl. VAT) Works to be carried out under the Framework Agreement may include some or all of the following activities: i) Installation of ducts and construction of chambers ii) Roadway construction & repairs (flexible, rigid & permeable paving) iii) Footway construction, repairs & refurbishment (including concrete, bituminous, brick, flags etc.) iv) Installation of kerbing and road channels v) Road resurfacing and high friction antiskid surfacing and associated work including planing, regulation course, geogrids etc. vi) Granite paving including antique granite flags vii) Construction of gully pots and manhole chambers viii) Pipelaying including foul sewers, surface/stormwater pipelines and filter drains ix) Diversion of services x) Road and street improvements (including widening and narrowing) xi) Traffic management including development & implementation of Traffic Management Plans xii) Installation of Public Lighting columns & associated works xiii) Construction of cycleways & greenways xiv) Installation of traffic islands including traffic signals (Please refer to attached documents for further information).
